Vintage Wicker Cornucopia

  • Details
In greek mythology, it is said that Cronus was destined to be destroyed by his child, so he ate each of his children as they were born.

Pregnant once again, his wife Rhea decided to hide the next child, so it might live. She gave birth to a boy in secret and named him Zeus, then hid him away in the mountains to be raised by the goatress Amalthea.

One day while Amalthea played with a young Zeus, he accidentally broke off one of her great horns. Feeling incredible remorse over this, he took the horn and blessed it. It immediately filled with all of the things that brought her joy, and continued to be full and plenteous, all the days of her life.

Perhaps the things that bring you joy are hand sewn burlap pumpkins, autumn foliage, berries and grapes in the soft muted colours of autumn.

If so, this vintage style cornucopia was destined for you.

At 20” long. 9” high and 9” wide at the mouth, it can be displayed proudly on a side table, fireplace mantle or coffee table. Add your own touch by winding fairy lights up and over it, or use it as the centrepiece on your dining table.

This item is one of a kind and cannot be replicated, due to the use of an authentic vintage wicker cornucopia. Product ships next day, and includes a tracking number.
